Get creative and have fun designing and making your own mirror. No experience necessary, all glass and equipment supplied. The mirror will be felt backed with fixing included.

You will be using small pieces of glass, different grades of frit (crushed glass), stringers, powders, liquid glass and metal foils.

Cost: £150 per person for a 30cm x 30cm mirror. There is an option on the day to upgrade to a portrait 50cm x 35cm for an extra £100.

Duration: 4 hours including a 45 minute demonstration, 10.30am start. Although, if you need extra time to finish you are welcome to stay until 4pm.

INTERMEDIATE WORKSHOPS: Our Intermediate Workshops are designed for anyone wishing to try more advanced cutting and powdering techniques and to make larger items. Previous attendance of a workshop is required. 

The beginning of the morning will involve a brief demonstration showing additional techniques and possibilities for making a developed glass item. There will be a choice of a larger range of glass to use. Proceedings begin at 10.15 am so please arrive at our main Launceston Gallery around 10.00 am.  You are welcome to stay up to 4 pm, if you require extra time to finish or discuss further classes.

The additional skills will cover:

• Layering metals

• More extensive lidded work

• More cutting techniques

• Edging- grozing glass techniques

Cost: £95 per person* of which £65 is a credit** towards items made.
