    Amazing fusing workshop

My mum treated me to this workshop and I absolutely loved it. Ruth was a fantastic teacher with so much knowledge and supported us all to create our very own masterpiece.
There was a lot to take in and I would recommend coming with a few ideas so you don’t have to create your design on the spot! (I did this and it was quite daunting)
There are just so many possibilities!!
It was so exciting receiving my glass in the post and see how it had turned out.
I love my Spanish dancer and the whole experience totally exceeded my expectations.
This is an incredibly amazing workshop which is such value for money. I will certainly do another one! X

glass fusion workshop 17th April 2024

As a long time lover of Jo's work the chance to, in some small way, create something that echoed her incredible pieces was too great to miss! A fabulous experience which made me appreciate just how much goes into creating her elegant, seemingly simplistic designs. The instruction from Ruth Proudfoot -Smith was clear and delivered with great humour and encouragement and her hands on assistance ..well lets just say thank goodness ..greatly appreciated!! I loved my little creation and want to go back again ..after all Ive got a whole bathroom wall to cover!!!

    Workshop - 17th April 2024

This workshop is amazing! Ruth is a fantastic teacher, encouraging and knowledgeable. To start you learn about the tools and materials provided and then you move on to how to cut glass which feels like a tremendous accomplishment! There are loads of inspirational examples if you are stuck for ideas, and Ruth guides you and gives you the confidence to get creative. I came away with a framed piece, which looks far better than I could have hoped for - good enough to go up on display actually! All in all, a really terrific day and you leave feeling like you have learnt a new skill and gained a new hobby!

    Glass works

I recently attended a workshop in March with a young lady with autism (Lillibet). We had such an amazing time. We were made feel incredibly welcome and Ruth spent time to ensure Lilli was comfortable and if there was anything she might need to aid her. It was a beautiful way to spend the day with lovely people and so happy/amazed with our end results. Thankyou
